Our Story
After 20+ years in medical aesthetics, Amber Edwards saw the industry shifting. Clinics built on injectables, lasers and skincare were moving toward holistic care, driven in large part by the rise of GLP-1s.
At the same time, she was going through her own menopause journey, unprepared and told, like most women of her generation, to simply endure it. When she finally found a provider who optimized her hormones, it changed her life, and it showed her the real problem: most healthcare providers are never trained to treat menopause. As a result, women are routinely misunderstood, misdiagnosed or dismissed altogether.
The Foundation
In February 2026, EncorVita Health acquired the intellectual property behind HerMD University, built by Dr. Somi Javaid and Komel Caruso from 10 years of running menopause and sexual health clinics across five states and treating more than 24,000 women.
EncorVita has since expanded that curriculum with the latest medical society guidelines, current peer-reviewed research, and input from specialists in hormone therapy, sexual health and dermatology.
Beyond Education
Clinicians told us a course alone wasn’t enough; they didn’t know how to fit menopause care into their clinics. So EncorVita created a turnkey operating system to ensure clinic success: clinic resources, playbooks, sample formularies and lab panels, staff training and live medical affairs support.
Our Belief
Every healthcare professional who treats women over 40 should be equipped to recognize menopause and provide meaningful care through a stage that can last more than half of a woman’s life.
